Guidelines for transfer students

  • The applicant’s current school must be accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or provide proof of accreditation from a recognized agency.
  • Enrollment is limited to students who:
  • Demonstrate a good behavior record
  • Show academic ability at or above an average level
  • Have earned credits that reflect performance at or above grade level
  • Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory (CMCP) does not accept medical or religious exemptions for immunization certificates.
  • Any transfer student who does not remain enrolled for at least three semesters, regardless of the reason for withdrawal, will be responsible for repayment of the full amount of tuition assistance granted by CMCP before official transcripts will be released.
  • Applicants with a diagnosed learning disability must provide a psychoeducational evaluation dated within the past three years during the application process.
  • Admission may be granted with mandatory or recommended participation in the Learning Center, depending on the student’s needs.
  • The ESE Specialist will join the Admissions Committee in these cases.
  • Applications will not be reviewed if any required step in the process is incomplete.
  • Once the Director of Enrollment Management has contacted the applicant’s family, the student’s file will remain open for two weeks only. During this period, all required documents must be submitted. Once a file has been closed, it will not be reconsidered.


Admissions Timeline

  • Fall Admission: March 1 of the current academic year through September 1
  • Spring Admission: November 1 of the current academic year through January 1

In order to be considered for admission to Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory (CMCP), candidates must complete the following steps:


Application Steps

  1. Create an Account
  • Click Apply Now – Create an Account
    Enter your first and last name, email address, and create a password

    Important:
    Save your password—you will need it again to log in
  • Your email address will serve as your login to access your account

    2. Complete the Application

  • Once your application is submitted, $50.00 application fee has been paid, the Enrollment Management Coordinator will contact you.

  3. Placement Testing

  • Following consultation, students must complete Mathematics (Algebra 1) and English (Essay Writing) proficiency tests (used for admissions review and Honors eligibility)
  • Testing will be scheduled by the Enrollment Management Coordinator

  4. Submit Required Documents

  • Upload all required documents from your accredited current school (see list below)

  5. Interview

  • Once all documents are received and the file is complete, Mrs. Billisi, Director of Enrollment Management, will contact you to schedule a Zoom interview with your student.  Parents are welcomed to be present in the zoom interview.
  • After the interview, the student’s full application will be evaluated by the Admissions Committee


Required Documents

Applicants must upload the following:

  • Standardized Test Scores (FAST, EOC, BEST, Terra Nova, MAP, or PSAT)
  • Unofficial Transcripts
  • Transfer Recommendation Form (current school name and the email address of an administrator or guidance counselor are required)
  • Discipline History Report (If recommendation cannot be completed)
  • Attendance Record Report (If recommendation cannot be completed)
  • PSAT Scores (for Honors Placement)
  • If applicable: Psychoeducational Evaluation (within the past 3 years), Individualized Education Program (IEP), or 504 Plan
  • Note: If applying for 10th grade, 8th grade Report Cards are required.


Optional Documents

Applicants are welcome to include:

  • Additional recommendations (letters or supporting documents)
  • Service Hour Report (if not already submitted)
  • Teacher Recommendations (academic or character reference)
