Happy Friday, Lions! We hope you're feeling full of Lion Pride after your first week! Pictured above, Diane M. '24 and Maria F. '24, had fun playing "get to know you" bingo during Sophomore orientation.
Lions Begin the 2021-2022 School Year with a Roar
It’s been an exciting week welcoming all of our Lions to campus! Orientation took place from Monday to Wednesday followed by the first day of class on Thursday.
Orientation was full of fun activities but the most important part was that we were all able to be together. The freshman class officially became CMCP students by participating in a bracelet activity. Students were asked to write the name of their middle school on a temporary bracelet and at the end of the day they exchanged that bracelet for a new CMCP bracelet pronouncing to the world, our world at least, that I AM CMCP! The middle school bracelets were used to create a united chain link that can be displayed on the bulletin board in each test prep class.
Transfer students, freshmen and sophomores developed new friendships by playing a “get to know you” bingo. The importance of bingo was for students to learn more about who they will be spending the next four years with! Students also completed a vision board by writing down four goals they have for this school year. Each student sealed their vision board in an envelope and turned it into Mrs. Daligney, Director of Campus Ministry, who will give them back to students during their spring retreat. The rest of the day included a water balloon toss contest, learning about the Marianists, iPad training, school pictures, and information sessions on various ways to get involved at CMCP. Juniors and seniors received technology updates and took their school picture. Seniors attended a college placement session with Ms. Harvey, Director of College Placement.
As this week concludes, we are thankful to see all of our students on campus.  We pray for a safe, healthy, and successful school year. Go Lions!

In addition to welcoming our students to campus, we extend a hearty welcome to our new faculty and staff! We hope all of our Lions had a great week. We look forward to all of the possibilities this new school year brings.
