"The bonds that I have created in the classroom and on the baseball field are unmatched and are bonds that I will keep for life. Chaminade-Madonna has had a very special place in my heart since my childhood days, and I could only say my love for the school has grown since then." - Frank B. '21.

Celebrations Begin For The Class Of 2021

Our seniors are in their last chapter as students at CMCP. We’re excited to celebrate and welcome them into the next part of their story as alumni! Last week, we announced the start of some senior surprises on social media, with class moderator Ms. Smith shouting out how awesome the class of 2021 is.

The celebrations began with a lunchtime treat provided by SAGE. Our entire campus received delicious “brookies” (half cookie, half brownie)  as we cheered the senior class. “It was a great way to show our seniors that we really do love and care about them but also super fun to share with everyone. Who doesn't want a treat? And they were delicious,” Director of Student Activities, Mrs. Matos Di Lascio '03 said. You could also see the “We Love Our Seniors!” banner flying high in Zaragoza Center.

Over the weekend, our Director of Admissions, Mrs. Billisi '93, spoke in a heartfelt video about how special the class of 2021 is, and that this week, the class would be given specialty pins to remember their time at CMCP. “As Admissions Director, I have the opportunity to be the first person on campus to welcome the class to our family. I felt the pin would be a great symbol of the beginning and, yet, the end. The growth that happened in between is the most important,” Mrs. Billisi said.

“Although this senior year has been anything but conventional, I am still very appreciative of our school’s and SGA’s efforts to make the most of our situation. I love that these activities have the deeper meaning of being scheduled on the 21st of every month. I will truly miss my C-M family,” said senior Rachel G.

But the celebration isn’t over yet. “We are looking forward to having the Chaminade-Madonna Athletics Department host the "March Madness" social after school on March 19th.  I think it will be a great opportunity to get our graduating seniors together for some fun and watch a little bit of the NCAA tournament as well,” Mr. Bishop, Athletic Director, said. The event will feature games, prizes, pizza, and more.

“I look forward to everyone's reactions as we continue to make a big deal out of our seniors on and around the 21st of each month,” Mrs. Matos Di Lascio said. We know that there is little time left with our seniors but still some great memories to be made! Follow CMCP on social media to stay up to date on these fun senior announcements. Congratulations again to our seniors, we’re so proud of you!
