Biology Class
Mrs. Fraser leads Biology students through the do’s and don’ts of microscope usage.

The first week of school has come to a close! Here are some frequently asked questions regarding the new student arrival measures in place.

In addition to having all signed paperwork turned in and wearing the correct uniform, students must also complete the daily screening form. The daily screening form will result in one of two messages: either WELCOME or STAY HOME. The message you receive will be sent to your school email address, and proof of completion is required to enter the interior of campus.

...I receive a WELCOME message?
Remember to wear the correct uniform, ID lanyard and mask included! Not wearing your ID card and mask is considered a dress code violation and will result in the appropriate disciplinary action. Before entering the interior of the school, a staff member will greet you and take your temperature. The staff member will also ask to see your WELCOME message.

...I receive a STAY HOME message?
Do not come to school. If you are well and able and have not had contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, attend your classes virtually through Zoom. If you are not able to attend classes virtually, follow regular school procedure to report an absence.

...I am not able to attend classes in person or virtually?
Follow the school procedure to report an absence:
1. Parent is required to call the school the day of the student’s absence between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. (954-989-5150 x100).
2. Leave a message stating the student’s name, grade, and reason for the absence (failure of parent to call may result in disciplinary action for the student).

… a member of my household has tested positive for COVID-19?
Contact Katherine Carerra, A.P.R.N., Director of Wellness Center, immediately so you can make a plan of action. You can reach Mrs. Carerra from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through email at or by calling 954-989-5150 x168. Remember, she is available as a resource to parents and students if you have concerns or questions regarding symptoms, quarantining, etc.

… I have been in direct contact with someone who tests positive for COVID-19?
Contact Mrs. Carerra and get tested. Mrs. Carrera will communicate more information about the testing procedure and the school's required documents.
Our common goal is to optimize the health and wellness of our students and faculty so we can resume, to the greatest extent possible, the activities and experiences here at CMCP that we all enjoy.
