With 4 seconds remaining in the 4th quarter, the Chaminade-Madonna Lions set up a 19-yard field goal from Daniel Longman to defeat Oxbridge Academy 31-28 in the FHSAA Class 3A Football State Championship on Saturday, December 9th at Orlando's Camping World Stadium.

Dameon Jones led the Chaminade-Madonna Lions to victory with its first state title since 2005. Chaminade-Madonna captured the state title in 2003 and 2005 under Coach Mark Guandolo.

Congratulations to our CMCP Lions football team for being crowned the 3A State Champions after defeating King's Academy with a final score of 38-10. The championship game, which took place at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, marks consecutive visits to the 3A State Championships for the Chaminade-Madonna Lions and their fourth state title. "To me it's more than just a back-to-back State Championship," noted Head Coach Dameon Jones. "It's about teaching these young men how to overcome adversity. My goal has always been to mold these young men into successful student athletes and it couldn't be done without the support and help from the entire Chaminade Madonna community."
