The Alumni Hall of Fame Award recognizes and honors Madonna Academy, Chaminade High School, and Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory alumni who have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments either personally or professionally after graduation.

 In high school, Kamar Aiken lettered two years in football for Coach Mark Guandolo. As a defensive back, he earned Class 2A All-State honors by the Florida Sports Writers and Miami Herald All-Broward County First-Team honors. He was ranked as the 51st best prospect in the state of Florida by the Orlando Sentinel, the 67th best athlete in the nation by Rivals.com, the 72nd best wide receiver prospect in the nation by Scout.com and ranked No. 110 nationally on The ESPN 150. Mr. Aiken was also a stand out in basketball, with All-County and All-State accolades.
He continued his football career at the University of Central Florida where he was a standout all four years. In his first year at UCF, Mr. Aiken set freshman records for catches, yards and touchdowns. During his sophomore year, he had a catch in seven of nine games played and was second overall on the team in catches and yards.  As a junior he started and had a reception in all 12 games he appeared in. He led the team in receiving yards and was third on the team in receptions. And in his final year, Mr. Aiken appeared in 14 games, started 13 and finished the season with 32 receptions for 486 yards and two touchdowns.  

In 2011, Mr. Aiken was drafted by the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills.  He has had a successful professional career, having played for the Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, and Philadelphia Eagles. 

Mr. Aiken founded the Kamar Aiken Foundation to support and serve foster children.  Through his foundation he works to encourage children to move forward despite their individual situations. Every summer, Mr. Aiken hosts the Kamar Aiken Youth Football Camp at CMCP.

Valerie Miyares is the District Athletic Manager for the Palm Beach County School District.  She supports Palm Beach County’s 24 high school and 33 middle school athletic programs and their administrations. Ms. Miyares sits on the Orange Bowl Showcase Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Florida Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
 
In high school, Ms. Miyares played four years of women’s volleyball, basketball and softball. She was a member of the track and field team for one year, as well.  She is the first female student-athlete to sign an NCAA scholarship from CMCP.  Ms. Miyares attended West Liberty University where she played four years of women’s volleyball, leading as captain her Junior and Senior years.  She also played two years of softball and one year of women’s basketball.  During her time on the basketball team, she participated in the Division II Women’s NCAA Basketball Tournament.  She was also an All-Conference selection for the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and a three-time selection to the Academic All-Conference Team.  Ms. Miyares was also nominated by West Liberty University in 2001 as the school’s nominee for the NCAA Post-Graduate scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Upon graduation from West Liberty, she returned to CMCP as a faculty member.  Ms. Miyares also served as the Assistant Athletic Director and Women’s Athletic Director. She coached swimming, diving, men’s volleyball, and softball during her tenure. She has also worked in Athletic Administrative lead positions at West Broward High School, Edgewater High School (Orange County) and Wekiva High School (Orange County).
 
During her time as a school-based Athletic Director, Ms. Miyares served in various committee capacities for the Florida High School Athletic Association including Sectional Appeals, Representative Assembly, The International Student Task Force and the Boys and Girls Academic All-State Committee.
Ms. Miyares also holds a Master’s degree in Sports Administration and is currently working toward earning her Doctorate of Business Administration in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University in Miami.

Kevin DeYoung is the President & CEO of Qualpath Inc., a Florida headquartered Managed Print Services (MPS) provider. Qualpath has been recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in the USA and as the Top MPS Indirect Provider by the Managed Print Services Association.

After graduating from Florida State University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Kevin was hired by Burroughs Corporation, which later became Unisys, and excelled in the field of computer services marketing both in the United States and in South America.  Unisys recognized Kevin's accomplishments with numerous company awards. 

In 1986, Mr. Young founded Adcom Corporation (name later changed to Ameritrend).  Adcom became one the fastest growing privately held corporations in the United States and was named on the Inc. 500 list.  Kevin continued to be involved with Adcom, becoming its Corporate Senior Vice President, even after it was purchased by a multi-national corporation in 1996. He then became President of the Kodak South American Office Automation Division. 

Mr. Young played four years of football at Chaminade High School, one on the freshman team, one on the JV team, and two on the varsity team under the tutelage of Coach Vince Zappone.  He was an example for every team member in his effort, attitude, and work ethic. Mr. Young was also a competitive member of the Chaminade track team for all four of his high school years, competing in the discus and the shot put.  He continued to set an example for all team members who saw his effort and positive attitude. In both football and track, Kevin inspired his teammates to work hard and achieve their highest potential.  
Mr. DeYoung currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Managed Print Services Association and Board of Trustees for Chaminade-Madonna.

He has been married to his wife Suzi for 32 years.  He is the proud father of two sons, Matthew and John.
