Chaminade-Madonna offers a variety of clubs and activities designed to encourage students to participate in extra-curricular programs. Participation in these programs is essential to the overall educational experience at Chaminade-Madonna.

Art Club

Purpose:The Art Club allows students to experience the visual arts department in developing their talents, help with school-related community projects, and provide service to other departments in need of artistic expression. Students are exposed to a variety of media and techniques through different projects. Service hours are awarded for any type of community or school-related projects.


Best Buddies

Purpose:
The Best Buddies Club is a service club which pairs students at Chaminade-Madonna with students from the Quest Center in Hollywood who have intellectual disabilities. Activites include bowling, skating, arts and crafts, games, school dances at the Quest Center, a picnic at T.Y. Park in the spring, and the "Best Buddy Ball," a semiformal evening prom attended by Best Buddy pairs from all over Broward county.

Key Club

Purpose:
Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. What makes Key Club so successful is the fact that it is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through serving others. Members of the Kiwanis International family, Key Club members build themselves as they build their schools and communities. Key Club offers a wide range of opportunities to its members including leadership development, vocational guidance, college scholarships, service-learning, and personal enrichment.


Model UN

Purpose:
The Model UN Program is a great way for students to learn about international relations and to gain a better sense of what a varied and fascinating world we live in. The program also is a perfect "hands on" way to gain experience with basic skills -- such as communication, negotiation tactics, and conflict prevention -- that we all need in our day-to-day lives. At Chaminade-Madonna, students participate in the Havard Model UN conference in December.

Purpose:
The Lion's Print provides opportunities for students to learn and enhance ethical journalism skills. It is also a medium to report school events, activities and issues of concern to the student body. It is printed four times during the school year.
